When Fëanor sailed off without the host of Fingolfin, Maedhros thought that he was planning to return and carry across the others. He expected that the first ship would carry Fingon, his best friend. as Caranthir Caranthir the dark was complete opposite in appearance to his closest brother Celegrom, he was known to have dark hair, harsh eyes, and was the quickest to anger of all the brothers. Finwe was one of the 'firstborn' elves that awoke in Cuivienen. He is described as having dark hair and bright blue-grey eyes. Finwe was the only elf granted permission for a second chance of marriage which resulted in the births of 4 of his 5 children. as Finrod' Finrod opposed the Oath of Feanor but he did not wish to be parted from his friends and family so chose to follow them to Middle-Earth. While traveling with Turgon, they both received a vision from Ulmo of hidden realms that wold later become their kingdoms.He was the first of the Noldor to encountered the second born race where he taught them Sindarian and in turn learnt their ways and languages. During the Dagor Bragollach, it was Barahir of the House of Beor that save his life an din return Finrod gave him what would later became known as the Ring of Barahir. Many years later when Beren, son of Barahir came to Nargothrond seeking aid. Finrod agreed to help as a way to repay his debt. When asking if his people would join, Celegorm and Curufin who resided in the city, persuaded most of Nargothrond to remain behind, in the end only 10 other agreed to join him and Beren. Captured by Sauron who sent on of his werewolves to devour them one by one until only the two remained, Finrod broke his chains and killed the wolf but was mortally wounded himself. Due to his opposition of the Oath, Finrod was granted reincarnation in Valinor and was reunited with his father and lover Amarie. Finrod was given names that translated to 'wisdom', 'faithful', 'mighty', and 'friend of man.'

As Fingolfin
Fingolfin was the strongest and most valiant of the sons of Finwe. Taking on the dark appearance of his father rather than the fair of his mother. Fingolfin at fist didn't wish to leave Valinor but he also did not wish to leave his people to his 'selfish' brother. After the betrayal at Alqualonde Fingolfin turned to make the crossing of the Helcaraxe rather than turn back, upon which many of his people lost their lives in the dangerous ice. Upon arriving in Middle-Earth, filled with wrath and bitterness towards his brother, a civil war would have broken out if not for the deeds of his eldest son Fingon in rescuing Maedhros. This rescue led to Maedhros surrending claim as heir to Finwe and High King of the Noldor to Fingolfin. After the battle of Dagor Bragollach, and in despair, Fingolfin rode to Angband and challenged Morgoth to come forth in single combat. The duel lasted until Fingolfin grew weary and Morgoth beat him into the ground. 12. Laura Benanti

Melian, the Maia, Queen of Doriath, Wife to Thingol and mother to Luthien, she served both the Vala Vana and Este and dwelth in Lorian before coming to Middle-Earth. She was considered the wisest among her and no other were more beautiful or more skilled at singing. She departed Valinor when the elves awoke to fill the silence of Middle-Earth with song, where in the forest of Nan Elmoth, she met and fell in love with Thingol. For thousands of years, she protected Doriath with the 'Girdle of Melian,' but she knew a day would come when someone would breach its defense. This came in the form of Beren who would fall in love with her daughter, Luthien; but Thingol thought a mortal not worthy of his daughter and set a bride-price of a Silmaril to this, Melian advised against. Foreseeing, it would lead to the downfall of Doriath. After Thingol's death, she returned to Valinor and the Gardens of Lorien to muse over her sorrows. 13. Daniel Goddard

Thingol, Lord of all Beleriand and High King of the Sindar was 'born' in Cuivienen at the awakening of the Elves. He is said to be the tallest of all elves ever born with hair of silver. He was chose as the Teleri ambassador to travel to Valinor and upon his return, encouraged his people to make the journey west. Due to the number of Teleri Elves, they lagged behind the other groups and missed the moving island, Tol Eressea but many years later upon its return many of the Teleri chose to stay in Beleriand including Thingol who had met Melian and fallen in love. For many cneturies Thingol had been lost but upon his return to the Teleri Elves that remained, they accepted him as their King, Melian as their Queen and they became known as the Sindar elves henceforth. After founding the city of Doriath where his daughter Luthien was born. Wanting nothing to do with the Noldor after hearing of what happened at Alqulonde, Thingol would only have dealings with the House of Finarfin due to kinship shared through his brother Olwe, but over time, the power of the Oath of Feanor made its way to Doriath with Thingol asking for the bride-price for Luthien to be a Silmaril. While Beren was able to get the Silmaril from Morgoth's crown and return it to Doriath, it was the very lust for the Jewel and the Nauglamir that brought the downfall of Thingol and later, Doriath. 14. In the early Years of the Sun Finrod and Galadriel came to Doriath as guests of Elu Thingol, the King of Doriath. There Celeborn and Galadriel met, fell in love and were wedded. Galadriel remained in Doriath with Celeborn after Finrod went to the Caverns of Narog to establish the stronghold of Nargothrond. For the rest of the First Age Celeborn and Galadriel are not mentioned to have played any significant role in the general course of events of the Age, while their relatives, both Sindarin and Noldorin did. The only thing that can be said for sure, is that the couple survived the Wars of Beleriand, including the Second Kinslaying by the Sons of Feanor. 'Due to his birth happening after his parents were re-embodiment as mortals it is not known whether Dior was mortal or immortal and due to his death at a young age it is left unknown. Dior became ruler of Doriath after the death of his grandfather Thingol were upon Celegrom, Curufin and Caranthir having learned that Dior now possessed the Silmaril declared war upon Doriath. Here at the Second Kinslaying the three sons of Feanor and Dior all died. Dior's twin boys were lost and presumed dead somewehre in the forest and Doriath was utterly destroyed only four years after the death of King Thingol, but Dior's daughter Elwing had managed to escape with the Silmaril. Dior was considered to be the fairest of all beings to ever live having the blood of Maia, Elven, and the Edain in his viens and while it is not said, it is presumed he had dark hair and light eyes like his parents. 17. 'A daughter of a Maia and an Elf, Luthien was classed among the half-Elven race but is not one of the Peredhil. She took on the appearance of her mother with her dark hair and grey eyes and was considered the most beautiful of all the Children of Illuvatar, having fallen in love with the mortal man Beren, she joined him in his quest to Angband with the Valar hound - Huan, for the Silmaril, which was the bride-price asked by her father Thingol. During the quest and after Beren's first death, Luthien laid down and passed away from grief, where she sang to Namo who was moved to pity and presented Luthien with two choices:to dwell in Valimar with the Valara or to be restored and live a life with Beren but be doomed to die a mortal death. For her love, she chose the latter and after their return, they had one son named Dior. After the sack of Menegroth, Beren returned to Luthien, with the Nauglamir where upon their final death, it was sent back to Dior in Doriath.' 18. Bridget Regan

He tried to talk the Noldor out from acting rashly against the Valar but when their minds were made up he still joined his kin in departing Valinor. After the Kinslaying of Alqualonde and the Doom of Mandos was announced, Finarfin and his people turned back and begged for pardon. This was granted and as such Finarfin, King of the Noldor of Aman. Of all the children of Finwe, he is justly renowned. For his valor was a fire and yet as steadfast as the hills of stone, wise he was and skilled in voice and hand, troth and justice he loved and bore goodwill to all; both Elves and Men, hating Morgoth only. Fingon fought in the First Kinslaying but only because he believed the Teleri had been told by the Valar to prevent the Noldor from leaving. Turgon became High King of the Noldor after the death of his father and brother. Like his siblings, he had dark coloring of his father and grandfather. Originally, against the departure of the Noldor, he did eventually set out with is father in the crossing at the Helcaraxe where he lost his beloved wife and as such, his resentment of Feanor and his kin grew. Being extremely close with his cousin, Finrod, Turgon was often seen riding to his aid when called upon. After an appearance of Ulmo, Turgon fond a hidden vale in the Encircling Mountains where he would later build and rule the hidden city of Gondolin. Ecthelion was the leader of the Peoples of the Fountain and it was said he had the most beautiful voice and greatest talent with the flute of all peoples in Gondolin. 200 years after the city was founded Ecthelion was one of Aredhel escorts when she got lost in Nan Elmoth. Ecthelion was one of the leaders of the forces of Gondolin during the battle of Nirnaeth Arnoediad, and held the flank of the army as they retreated. During the Fall of Gondolin, he led his forces and killed three Balrogs until he reached the Square of the King and faced off with Gothmog. The son of Barahir and Emeldir, Beren became an outlaw very young in his youth due to the kingdom of Dorothion falling to ruin in the Dagor Bragollach. Causing so much frustration to Morgoth and Sauron, they were eventually betrayed and attacked in which only Beren survived. With a price on his head set by Morgoth and after many years on the run, he finally crossed into the lands of Doriath and met Luthien. After being refused Luthien's hand in marriage, he was told it would only be allowed if Beren brought back a Silmaril from Morgoth's iron crown. With the aid of Finrod and Huan, they managed to retrieve the Silmaril but on their escape were attacked by Carcharoth were Beren got his hand bitten off. When he returned to Thingol claiming he had found and lost the Silmaril, Thingol's heart had softened towards Beren and the Hunting of the Wolf began. while the Silmaril was finally recovered Beren was mortally wounded but due to the sacrifice of Luthien, was given a second life were together they lived in Tol Galen and had a son, Dior, heir to Thingol. During the Sacking of Doriath, those loyal to Dior's family helped Elwing escape with the Silmaril to the Havens of Sirion, where she met and later married Earendil. They had two sons Elrond and Elros who Elwing was forced to abandon when the remaining Sons of Feanor attacked the Haven. Turning into a great white bird, she flew until she found her husband who was on his way to Valinor to make his pela. Elwing followed her husband unto the shores of of Aman even knowing it would lead to their deaths but instead the Valar listened to their request and granted them the choice of the Peredhil. After the War of Wrath, a white tower was built for Elwing where she could fly up to meet Earendil when her returns from his nightly voyages. Elwing is known to have dark appearance of her family line. 26. Theo James

His fate is now to travel the skies with the last Silmaril and guard the Sun and Moon. Aule meaning 'invention' had the power most like Eru in that he was a creator. Creating the Two Lamps, Anginor - Morgoth's chain and the vessels from the Sun and Moon; Anar and Isil. While also the Valar most like Melkor, Aule was always faithful to Eru and never was jealous of another's creation. As such there was always strife between them and Aule grew weary of repairing what Melkor destroyed. Being the Father of the Dwarves, he was chastened by Eru as the Elves were deemed to be the first to awaken, but when he showed he was humble and lifted his hammer to destroy them, Eru took pity and gave them 'true life' but put them to sleep until a time after the Elves awoke. Thus the dwarves became the Adopted Children of Iluvatar. When the elves did finally awake and made their journey to Aman, it was the Noldor that became his students with Feanor being one of his greatest pupils. Also known as Kementari 'Queen of the Earth' her power was responsible for all that grew. Usually seen as a tall woman robed in green, she would also take the form of a tall tree growing from the rivers of Ulmo and to sway in the breeze of Manwe. After the creation of the Dwarves by her husband, Yavanna feared that they would cut down her trees in which Aule replied even Elves and Men would need use of her trees in which Yavanna grew to despair and sought out advice from Manwe, and Eru took pity upon her and created the Ents. After the destruction of the Two Trees, she said she could heal them with the power of the Silmarils but was denied by Feanor, so instead she and Nienna combined their strengths but could only bring forth one flower and fruit which she gave to Aule to create the Moon and Sun. 52. While Ulmo cared about the Children of Iluvatar, he opposed Orome's decision to bring them to Aman but when he realized it was they wanted, created the moving isle of Tol Eressea and eventually anshored it in the Bay of Eldamr because he knew the minds of the Teleri. But not in the making of suffering but the lessons of pity, patience, and hope; one can learn from these moments. It was within her halls that Olorin became a student and learnt the pity and patience that is not shown among the Istari. As the residents of the Valar are said to reflect their ruler , the Halls of Nienna are sad to be a sad and dreary play and she would often be found staring out her windows over the Walls of the Night in a deep depression. During the creation of the Two Trees, she watered them with her tears and when Melkor destroyed them, she used her tears with the power of Yavanna to try and heal them, but the scars were to deep and all they managed was to produce one flower and one fruit, which would later become the Moon and the Sun. Even through Nienna mourned as Melkor caused rampages throughout Middle-Earth, she still spoke out of pity on his behalf when he pleaded for pardon. Meaning 'Strong' or 'Steadfast' and Astaldo meaning 'The Valiant' was known as the Champion of the Valar, being the last to descend and only when he heard of the others struggle against Melkor. when Melkor saw Tulkas, he fled and hid for a time and until his wedding to Nessa, Tulkas being happy yet weary fell asleep and Melkor attacked resulting, in the breaking of the Two Lamps. After this, it was decided to imprison Melkor in which Tulkas was responsible to wrestle with Melkor and get him chained with the special made chaing Angainor. Delighting in games of physical strength, Tulkas used no weapons and rode no steed. He is described as being a bad councilor as he cares not for the past or future but is loyal. He is slow to anger and yet rarely forgives but is also very impatient wishing to wage war on Melkor long before the Elves awoke. His Valarin name is Tulukhastaz meaning 'The golden-haired.'
